The unit of per-agent configuration is the PROFILE — a named, version-controlled config bundle (profiles/<name>/profile.yml in the fleet config bundle, riding the store-door → mount pipeline), set per MANAGER and applied at container boot. Profile is MANDATORY: every agent account carries one (store column NOT NULL DEFAULT 'default'), there is no non-profile agent, and the committed fleet config is the default profile — which MUST exist and resolve or the container fails loud at boot (no COMPASS_MODEL fall-through). Supersedes the per-spawn {model, role} override tuple of the prior RIG-2936 draft
