The Compass UI adopts @tanstack/solid-query + @connectrpc/connect-query-core for server-state: one app-lifetime QueryClient created beside the store singleton in index.tsx and provided via the SolidJS QueryClientProvider (Solid adapter, never React); server-state reads move off the store onto query hooks over the generated Connect clients, the store keeping only client/UI state
